I've started this blog to share some of the things I've learned about mental health over the last 10 years. I'm a queer woman of colour; I'm also a mental health nurse and have lived experience of mental ill health. I have been on long journey (and am still on it!) towards acceptance of self and that's what this blog is all about.
Self acceptance encompasses all the sides of ourselves that we try and push away; the sad, the bad, the angry, the shame, the guilt, the envy. All of it is a part of us and this blog is about embracing that.
I hope having a gander will leave you feeling less alone.
